April 2020 – Checkmarx, einer der weltweit führenden Anbieter von Software-Security-Lösungen für DevOps, gibt bekannt, dass Hellman & Friedman (“H&F”) die Akquisition von Checkmarx von Insight Partners mit einer Bargeldtransaktion in Höhe von 1,15 Mrd. US-Dollar abgeschlossen hat. TPG hat sich H&F als Partner angeschlossen und wird ebenso wie Insight Partners als Minoritätsinhaber am Unternehmen beteiligt sein. TPG hat bereits in eine Vielzahl schnell wachsender Cybersecurity-Unternehmen investiert und wird Checkmarx mit diesem Knowhow beim weiteren Wachstum unterstützen.
Bei dem Deal handelt es sich um die bislang größte Akquisition eines App-Security-Anbieters.
